Save the Date

Hi

On Thursday 19th November 2009, we are having a Christmas Party Nite

Come and join us for a fun evening – those of you who came to our Summer Party Nite will know how much fun was had.  The party will start at  5pm till 8.30pm with demonstrations from our in store tutors as well as  guest demonstrators .  I will be putting more details on the blog when arrangements have been finalised so just keep checking back for details.

I want to share with you some photos of our recent trip to Holland – Debbie, Dawn and I travelled  to Kars (one of our craft suppliers) We had a fantastic time, seeing sights and looking round a enormous warehouse full of crafting products from floor to ceiling – Oh it wa great, but I wanted everything.  Kars had demonstrators there from company’s such as S.E.I , BASIC GREY, KARS own products and RANGER to name a few.  Suze Weinberg represented Ranger products and she was demonstrating the melting pot – she is fantastic, her talent and enthusiasm in her work is addictive.

We also saw the GYPSY-now this is a brand new product coming soon for the cricut machine, I NEED one !!!  More details to follow about the gypsy and hopefully when they will be in stock very soon, but briefly the gypsy is a handheld design studio, you can use it anywhere on the train, sat watching tv, its portable so where ever you go it can go with you.  Gypsy stores all of your cricut cartridges and you can weld shapes, letters etc together and all you need to do is connect it to your cricut and cut.

Bye for now, I  will be back soon with more updates.

I will just leave you with some photos  from Holland.

Molly Blooms Day Workshop

Clare will be holding an all day workshop on Saturday 10th October 2009.  The workshop will run from 10.30am till 4pm costing £28.50 – this includes all materials needed and light lunch.

The workshop will be based on and themed around Molly Blooms stamps, so a good chance to get started on your Christmas cards and with such lovely stamps.  Clare’s workshops always prove very popular so early booking is recommended – the workshop has just been added by popular demand and I am sure places will be snapped up quickly so early booking is advisable.

Large Wooden Advent Calendar

This  workshop has just been added on Saturday 24th October 2009 10.30am till 4pm, again this will be taken by Clare and will be a full day with light lunch all materials provided to complete the project and a large wooden house (costing £20.00 if it was to be bought separately) .  The advent calendar completed is fabulous with wooden drawers that  Children, Grandchildren and Adults !! would be thrilled by.

Costing £37.50 – truly amazing price considering all the materials and lunch that are provided.

Booking is strongly advised for both the above workshops.

Hi

Its been ages since I have updated you all, so lots to tell you over the coming week.  My computer is finally fixed but my camera problems continue-but thats another story.!!!

I have to start with some exciting news that Craftrange are thrilled to have an exclusive range of  stamps  – Clare who many of you will know from attending her workshops and calling into the store has designed a range of Christmas Stamps, they are absolutely charming.  The only problem that everyone is having is which to choose!!  We did some special sets that flew out of the door that contained the full set of images - they went down a storm.

See the full range of Molly Blooms here, by clicking on the text highlighted in blue.  When you arrive on the page of Molly Blooms stamps – simply click on the grey highlighted text reading view product choices and this will show you the full collection.

If you are lucky enough to visit the store – Clare has some fantastic samples on display using Molly Blooms .  I will endeavour to get my camera working on my computer this week so that all our blog followers dont miss out.

Everyone is asking will there be more – I am sure that in 2010 Clare will get back to the drawing board  and add to the collection (Non Christmas – of course) I know you are all eagerly awaiting and I cant wait to see Molly Blooms next set myself.

Talking about 2010 – Did you know that it is 82 days of Christmas Day  and 88 days of the 1st January 2010 !!!

Will update again soon with some fabulous products and stories.

Hi,  its been a few days since my last blog,  and i thought i would come and tell you all about Tuesday night,

The last few weeks we have had a sponsor form on the counter, for any body who wanted to sponsor mick (Michael Toms Himself).  On Tuesday night 28th July mick was entered in the whalley nab race 5.5 miles of up hill and down dale over the fields and down the road. I had the bright idea of Janet and i going with deb to support him and take some photographs for the blog. Well what a night it started to rain early on in the day and i don’t think it stopped,  The  race was due to start at 7.00 o’clock, We were there  for quarter to so we could get a picture of mick at the starting line, they all got into position and we all got ready to take a photograph of them all setting off :-) (my camera went flat) they headed down the hill from the Judge Walmsley and turned right to head up the nab. Deb, Janet,Sarah,Joanne and I went for the car and did the wise thing and drove to the half way point. we sat in the car for a few minutes before realising we would miss them if we didn’t get out and dash up the road to a style they would be coming over and going in the opposite direction to were we was parked. we stood and waited at the style getting wetter and wetter by the minute. Then the excitement got tenser and tenser as the runners came over the hill top and headed towards us. Deb and Janet stood with cameras at the ready  all waiting for mick to come over the hill(not an indication to his age) :-) then would you believe it Debs camera went dead. :-)   Then some one shouted” he”s coming”  we missed him coming over the top but got him coming down the hill (micks in black) he headed towards us like a speed of lightening over the style and back towards the finish line, (we all got back in the car).   Back at the finish the first runner came in with a time of around 35 minutes then a few more. And at 39 minutes exactly mick came in giving him 17th position, we did get a picture of him at the end of the run. (I thought he would do it in 35 min and Deb thought 41 min ) Mick has run for the Clayton le Moors harriers for 6 years and is in the v45 group ( this could be an indication of his age) :-)

The race was organised by Garry Wilkinson and promoted by Clayton le Moors Harriers to raise money for the charity “Children in Malawi” to help them to put a roof on there school.

Any one wishing to sponsor/ Donate mick please contact us at craftrange.

here are the few photographs we managed to get :-)     feel free to leave any comments about any of the photos especially on the one of the legs what do you think?

Just one more thing to say .  WELL DONE MICK  looking forward to the next one.

THE GROUPIES :-)

Hi

Well it was lovely to see new posts from Dawn and Clare, Dawn obviously enjoyed blogging and we have been treated to 2 posts from her.

But how did Dawn and Clare both get those smiley faces – it was the first time they have blogged and after Dawn managed to put a smiley face on Clare soon followed and added one to her post.  !!!

I have blogged for quite a while now on here and on my own blog and cant manage to add a smiley face, so questions will be asked when I go into work tomorrow.  I have to admit I love going into work I am so lucky being able to do a job that is also my hobby.  Craftrange has a warm and friendly atmosphere that you just feel right at home, and not to mention the fabulous cafethat is wonderful, you can even call and order your food to take out or eat in.

Also thankyou to all the ladies that attended the Coffee and Craft Club it was yet again full of laughter and smiles with plenty of hints and tips being shared throughout the day.  If you fancy coming along we have 2 Club times 1 in the morning 10am till 1pm and one in the afternoon from 1.30pm till 4.30pm both costing only £3.00 each.  The only thing I would suggest is that you ring to secure your place as it has proved very popular so booking is really essential.

I have had a lovely weekend at home even though allot of housework has been done!!!

Hope to see you at the next Coffee and Craft Club which is held every other Thursday – the next one being on Thursday 6th August 2009.

Just before I go I have just been on the web site and noticed that the details for the retreats have been added, we are all very excited about this and really looking forward to them, again though places are limited so early booking is advisable.  Take a look on the web site for details.

Until next time

Happy Crafting

Janet  :-)   ha ha ha   Just came back to add my smiley !!!! he he he. Dawn you have started something here !!!

hi crafters

yes i said i would be back, and here i am (bet you didnt think it would be so soon :-)

I have just had my days off for this week, and at the beginning of the week i was nt looking forward to them, you see to cut a long story short a drink driver ran into the back of me back in February, when he went to court he pleaded not guilty and i was requested as a witness for the second trial this is what i was doing thursday of this week 2pm at leyland , everyone at work will tell you i was dreading it :-( and by wednesday evening i wasnt a happy person, Thursday morning dragged i tried to keep myself busy but it was easier said than done.
I got set off at 12.30pm and had been on the road 20 min when my mobile started ringing (i nearly didnt answer it) i pulled up and said hello and the lady on the other end said Dawn! he is pleading guilty so you don’t need to attend the court, the relief  i  couldnt stop smiling :-)   :-) :-)   i turned round and went home, turned out to be a good day x

Nearly as good as going to the craft club at craftrange every other thursday, what a good day that is, its just buzzing with happy crafters come and try it,

Friday i had been asked to judge two classes at the ladies w.i show in Clitheroe by one of the customers that comes into craftrange. I must admit i wasnt looking forward to it having never judged before, i asked Janet to come with me. and a good support she was i was glad of all her help,( thanks janet) we judged decorated t-shirts and wrapped gifts for children, the good thing about it was that we did nt have to pick a 1st 2nd and 3rd, we had to mark each entery out of 20. 1 being the lowest 20 being the highest. it was bit nerve racking to start with but it didnt take long to get the swing of things and in the end we enjoyed ourselves(that could have something to do with the cream cakes at lunch :-) ) there was some nice work entered and a lot of the ladies all come to the store, i look forward to finding out how it went, thankyou ladies for asking us x

Back to work tomorrow, look forward to seeing you all over the weekend x DAWN ;-)
