oH What A Night. Party Update As Promised.

Thursday 5pm and the party began, it was a tremendous turn out with lovely comments from you all about the evening and requests for another party!!

It was a pleasure to show such eager crafters our demonstration’s that we put on.

Kirsty Wiseman joined us and demonstrated Spellbinders Nestabilities through the Cuttlebug using papers from her own CD Patti Picklicious Printables (Available from Craftrange.com).  Kirsty always has a genuine enthusiasm for crafting and shares her ideas with all.  Kirsty had the unenviable task of judging the card competition – she picked two very worthy winners but it has to be said that all entries were excellent.

The winning card below was done by Thelma Grey.  Thelma had used a variety of techniques which impressed our judge.  Thelma won £25.00 worth of Craftrange Vouchers.

The winner of the 16 and Unders Competition was Jessica Robinson Aged 12 – This is truly a fantastic piece of artwork that Jessica has produced using Create-a-Scene stamps.  Jessica won a £10.00 Craftrange Voucher.

Congratulations to both our winners and indeed to all who entered.

Clare demonstrated Copic Markers with our new range of Magnolia Stamps.  Everyone fell in love with the Magnolia stamps they are such sweet characters.  Copics are excellent for colouring in the images and give a wonderful finish to your work.  Clare is having  a demonstration on using copicsI am sure this will be very popular, this is an in-store demonstration on Saturday 20th June 2009 1pm – 4pm.  Clare below will have to be our look alike Karman Miranda !!! minus Fruit of course.  I have to admit that Karmen was supposed to be Dawn – Unfortunately the photo has not turned out though so Clare will have to be a substitute.  Picture this though Dawn wearing a garland on top of her head, one round each wrist and one round her neck.

The flower in Clares hair has been coloured with the Cosmic Shimmer Mists – such amazing colours.

Dawn was very busy all night she held a make and take table for everyone to have a go at triple embossing and use stampboard.  There were some amazing creations produced from this table, I just love how every-ones finished samples looked different.

On my table I used the Cosmic Shimmer Mists and Ultra Thick Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powders.  I tried a new colour of the Shimmers called Aqua Lagoon – It has to be my new favourite.  Both the mists and powders never cease to amaze me – you achieve a differant look with each of the products depending on what colour card you use.  Using them together works really well and the possibilities are endless – stamping, creating backgrounds, using as water colours and stencilling to name but a few ideas.

Now about the dish in the Kitchen (oh and were not going to tell him he has been called that – or we will never hear the end of it !!)  that was Mick.

From Left to right Mick, Deb, Dawn, Janet, Gillian and Clare

Drinks and nibbles were served, we had a Raffle, Discounts and double loyalty points and the ever so popular lucky dip bags.  Most of all everyone enjoyed themselves and had a relaxed social evening of crafting and meeting friends.

So until the next party happy crafting from us all at Craftrange
