Cog Card Workshop Went Like Clockwork!

Good morning crafters,

We have had a busy week so far, with being closed three days over the Easter period I think that everyone came in on Tuesday to get their craft fix.

Yesterday we had Linda’s Cog Card Workshop and it was fully booked. As you can see, the ladies got stuck in with brayering their backgrounds using a Speedball Brayer and Splodge Mat. Crafters Companion Textures Embossing folders and  the Textures Basket and Burlap stamp were also used to create the backgrounds. They used the Cut n Boss machine and Spellbinder Sprightly Sprocket dye to produce the cogs. Everyone, as ever, picked up plenty of hints and tips and were thrilled with their results.

Today we have our weekly Coffee and Craft Club, our ladies bring a wide variety of projects with them, I don’t know if they come to craft, chatter or keep Liz and I on our toes. They are good at all three!

Just a Quickie

Just to let you know that all the Craft Club ladies this morning are going mad on the Fiskars Texture Plates that are in THE SALE. They have bought them to put through their die cutting machines, used with the tan mat they make beautiful embossed backgrounds! They are going fast.

Today is Craft Club £4.00 per session and everyone bring in their desired craft items and crafts away for the morning/afternoon or the full day. I love Thursdays there is always a buzz and lots of inspiration. Last Thursday afternoon the ice cream van came round and the photos say it all – wonder if he will be back this week.

Jewellery Making

Good Morning

Hope you all have had a good Easter and Bank Holiday Break.  I watched all of the wedding and didn’t Kate look lovely – I thought her dress was perfect keeping tradition and mixing modern – just right.

I have some photos of jewellery today for you.  Gillian our instore tutor on Jewellery holds monthly classes on how to make your own jewellery and everyone who attends throughly enjoys themselves.  We also have a monthly jewellery club where you just come along and make your own pieces and if needed Gillian is on hand for expert advice.

Its my coffee and craft club today – every Thursday for £3.00 10am till 1pm or £3.00 1.30pm till 4.30pm we open our fabulous workshop room up for anyone to come along and spend the morning or afternoon crafting.  Some even stop for the day and have lunch in our coffee shop (Gemma serves homemade food and DELICIOUS cakes!!)
