Read All About It!

Good Evening Crafters,
We are back, exhausted and excited from our trip to the Craft Hobby and Stitch trade fair in Birmingham. There were over 250 stands to drool over and lots of demonstrations to watch in awe. The first day we tried to look at EVERY stall to get an idea what we should buy and if there were any new trends.
Once back at the hotel we had a working evening meal, preparing orders to place and deciding which companies to revisit to place orders. It was almost midnight when we went to bed. I set my alarm for 6.15 and a message came up “the alarm is set for 6 hrs and 30 mins – not much rest for the wicked!
Breakfast at 7, leave hotel at 8, enter show at 9 with only 22 stalls to go back to!
There were a few demonstration of polymer clay (Fimo), some models but also beads, there were all amazing.

Other demonstrations included Spectrum Noir, Ebosser, Zentangle, Stamping, Mixed Media, Masking , Stencils and Sugar Craft to name but a few
So, what will you be seeing new in the jewellery section in the coming months?
We are expecting BEAUTIFUL diamante clasps which will team so well with the Tiara kits and components, new range of watch faces, new beads and charms.

We are still investigating new ranges of crystals and seed beads – watch this space!
Also we are all very excited about two new ranges of Deco Art paints, I can’t wait to get my hands on the acrylic paints which I feel will work so well on jewellery, there are four interference colours, which if small drops are placed onto a wet standard coloured base coat it will migrate and blend with the background and give amazing marbled enamel effects. Oh I can’t wait!
So, that is it for jewellery related stock, I will leave the crafty things for Janet to enthuse about.
Carry on Crafting,
Gillian

Busy Busy Fortnight

Standard

Good Evening
Sorry we have not been about for a few days, its been all go here at http://www.craftrange.com. We have been busy in the shop, planning to create space for all the new products we have coming in-store. Last week Deb, Gillian and I visited Stitches – UK’s equivalent to CHA, it’s the largest trade craft show in the UK where we get to visit all the major exhibitors stands to see the new products that are coming onto the craft market this year.

It was a great show with plenty to see and we have lots of new products that will be coming in-store over the next few months. Gillian is going to be blogging soon about the visit there and I will also have some posts and plenty of photos for you all to see.

On Friday and Saturday just gone I went on a Dreamweaver stencil teaching course at Woodware, totally amazing, fantastic and brilliant. I loved every single minute of it and learned so much – lets just hope I pass !! It was so informative and I have come away totally inspired, Lynell Harlow owner and designer of Dreamweaver stencils taught the class and she is truly an inspiration. Woodware hosted the class and I was well and truly looked after, Dorothy and Judith were as alway great hosts and fed us all very well so much so I think I rolled out of the building by the end of the second day! I have worked with Dreamweaver Stencils on and off for about 8 years now and will certainly be doing some samples for you all to see on the blog and in-store.

I am going to leave you with some amazing cakes, cupcakes and pop cakes that we saw at the show. I am sure that you will agree they are outstanding.

Untill next time

Sparkle Medium

Standard

Hi everyone

we now have the full range of the Sparkle Medium in stock, to order please contact us on 01282 833091 or click here to put you through to our web site to order

sparkle medium

This amazing clear gell which is absolutely jam-packed with sparkle will give you beautiful, glittering stencilled images. Attach your stencil to cardstock using low tack tape (try doing it on smooth glitter card you will love the results). Using a Spatula, gently spread a thin layer of Sparkle Medium over the stencil. Always remember to put any paste you have left back in the jar, so none is wasted. Immediately, gently peel the stencil away from the cardstock, don’t leave the stencil on the cardstock while the gel is drying or you won’t be able to remove it later, also remember to wash your stencil. Sparkle takes about 1/2 hour to dry on cardstock and about 1 hour on Acetate.

Standard

Geli Plate 8"x10"
Hello to everyone, hope you like the new look on our blog? we have given it a spring clean.! and are going to be adding things over the next couple of weeks.

So what is the Gelli Plate – well its a great tool to enable you to monoprint easily onto paper and fabric. Creating your own designs simply with stunning effects.

Just to let you all know that the Gelli Plate is in stock, priced at just £29.99 and its fabulous. The size is, in my opinion better for being 8″x10″ you have a larger area to play on and can create great backgrounds.

For anyone that has not come across the Gelli Plate …
The Gel Printing Plate looks and feels like gelatin, but is durable, reusable and stores at room temperature. It’s easy to clean and always ready for printing. Monoprinting on a Gelli plate is simple and fun. The gratification is immediate, and the prints are too cool!
All you need to get started is acrylic paint! one option is to apply this with a brayer if you have one and create wonderfull effects with stencils, Rubber Stamps and lots of other materials that you will have around the house.

For all those lucky people that ordered one – it is in the post as we speak.
Anyone wanting to order one please give the shop a ring on Tel…01282 833 091 and quote blog.
We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
