Just a Quickie

Good morning crafters,
Just a quickie before the rush, Derrick and his ladies are here this morning on the Parchmentcraft Workshop, they always produce beautiful work and have started working on Christmas!
We are still in the midst of moving the shop round, it is looking good but the new cake stock isn’t out yet. Watch this space.
Liz is demonstrating today, she is making samples out of the Christmas Die’sire embossing folders and dies that Janet started last weekend. She is hoping to use Pan Pastels and Gilding Wax on them, Why not call in and get into the spirit!
WHEN will my demonstration dilemma be resolved?
WHEN will the new cake stock get onto the shop floor?
WHO will win the Where’s Gilly and email link blog candy?

Demonstration Dilemma!

Standard

Good Morning Crafters,
I am in an enviable dilemma, every Saturday Liz and I take it in turns to do demonstrations at Craftrange.
We have the freedom to pick what we would like to demonstrate and it is my turn today.
Here is my dilemma, I had originally thought of die cutting shapes out of thick card,I would use the ebosser machine, it is lovely to use and ours is at a very competitive price at the moment. Next I could decorate them with embossing powders, (I may have to use the gorgeous Frantage kits again!) and then coating them with something to seal and make them glossy (I was thinking of using Glossy Accents). Mmmmm endless possibilities I would enjoy that.
BUT
I went into the warehouse of Michael Toms Stationers (our parent company) to find some paper balls for a customer, I have known about them for years but only today did I notice that they had holes through them. They aren’t balls they are BEADS! So, I am thinking, whatever you can do on a flat piece of paper you can do on a paper bead. The lovely colours of Alcohol Inks to give colour and embossing powders for texture.
Oh the possibilities are endless but the working day too short to do both, bearing in mind we also have a full day Molly Blooms Workshop and an 80% off sale, I have to decide What I am going to do?
What would YOU do?
Will I have time to do both?
Call in to see what I have decided.
Don’t miss the next thrilling instalment of DEMONSTRATION DILEMMA!

Fantastic to use on cards or Jewellery

Good Morning Crafters,
Last Wednesday we held our second Friendly Plastic Workshop, we all had a wonderful time. Some of the ladies were from a papercraft background and some from jewellery, they bounced ideas off each other and produced some awesome pieces.
They used both the melt pot and heat gun to soften the plastic and for the jewellers among us, we used the Cropadile to make holes for the bails to be attached to hang as pendants.
I am sure that you will agree that they produced some beautiful items.

Good Evening
Below is a blog post that Gillian wrote for you all, for some reason it did not post!!! Gremlins in blog land perhaps.
Anyway I have posted it all for you to take a look at because I know that Gillian will be updating you with how her Workshop went this afternoon. I did manage a sneaky peak at what everyone had created and it was all rather interesting.

Good Morning Crafters,
I have been busy preparing for our Friendly Plastic Workshop this afternoon. This is the second beginners workshop we have held, just look what our novices produced!
We used all sorts of papercrafting goodies to enhance the friendly plastic such as stickles, rubber stamps, sequin waste, fusible fibres and peeloffs. We heated the friendly plastic with both the heat gun and the melting pot.I hope we have as much fun this afternoon as we did last time.
